BrytonPick - FLOSS in Seconds Review

When the dentist asks me if I floss every day I pause & quietly answer, "Yeah." Well, that's not the complete truth. Truth is, I'm a busy mom of 2 & I just don't make time for flossing every day. Well, I have found the flossing time saver for a busy mom.

The BrytonPick was designed, developed, & tested by dental professionals. The blunt stainless steel cleaning edges are thin as the finest floss (0.0019") BrytonPick is also re-usable up to 30 days (germ-resistant stainless steel). Just cleanse with napkin or hot water & store in its carry-pouch.

BrytonPick is 100% produced in USA at FDA registered facilities (QS-9000 / ISO9001 Certified)

My first thought was, "Stainless steel edges next to my sensitive gums & lips? Eeekkk! I don't know about this..." Then I felt the edge, it is flexible & not as sharp as it looks. Sure, the edge could make your gums bleed a tad if you aren't careful, but regular floss could do that too.

I have a permanent bottom retainer so this product is great for flossing between my front bottom 6 teeth. Before, I would have to use a floss threader (sooo time consuming!) Now, it's easy peasy. BrytonPick would be GREAT for someone with braces.

The only thing I don't like about the BrytonPick is that sometimes when it scrapes along my teeth it makes a noise that I would compare to nails on a chalkboard. :/

Using this product does take some getting used to, I still haven't attempted to use it on my back teeth. ;)

Wanna give the BrytonPick a try? Visit BrytonPick's Online Store or look for them in a store near you (Rite-Aid, CVS, & Meijer to name a few).

Also, make sure to become a fan of BrytonPick on Facebook! They're new in 'town' so please, show them some love from Mama's Giveaways & Modern-N-Crunchy!

Baby 'Roo Slings Ring Sling Review

Shandell at Baby 'Roo Slings started making baby carriers when she was pregnant with her first baby in 2005. After carefully checking to make sure she didn't copy anyone else's design, she came up with Baby 'Roo's current style of ring slings, mei tai's and the occasional wrap. In 2008 Baby 'Roo expanded to include cloth diaper accessories.

She works very hard to make sure she remains CPSIA compliant and that all of her carriers are safe and durable. All of her designs are tested before putting them on the market.

I received my ring sling from Baby 'Roo in the mail RIGHT before we left for our month-long vacation to Las Vegas, NV. I managed to squeeze it into the trunk (along with 2 other baby carriers) of our itty bitty Toyota Corolla for the long, LONG drive!

Here we are with the lions at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

And at Aliente Nature Discovery Park in North Las Vegas (My favorite park EVER!)

I prefer different baby carriers for different occasions. I wouldn't use any ring sling for a hike (Moby!), but it's perfect for a day at the park. It is quick to put on & tighten up, no tieing! I love that the sling can be adjusted to fit any kiddo, newborn - 35lbs!

The construction of the ring sling is very high-quality. It is obvious that Shandrell did not take any shortcuts when sewing this sling. I was very confident that Weston was not going anywhere when he was in it.

Shandrell also sent me step-by-step instructions on threading the ring sling & also instructions on how to put an infant into the sling (Kangaroo Care) & Transitioning to Nursing in the sling. I really should have read these instructions before trying to put Weston in the sling for the first time (I didn't have them with me at the time). It would have really been helpful to know how to tighten the tail (pull top edge of the tail up and across your chest to tighten, then pull bottom edge of the rail down to the side away from your body to tighten). So the next time I used the sling, these instructions were VERY helpful!

From ring slings, mei tais, wraps, wetbags, cloth wipes, inserts, & nursing pads Baby 'Roo has you covered.

To purchase a Baby 'Roo Sling visit Baby Roo's Website. Use coupon code ModCrnch2 for 30% off any regular baby carrier!

Moja Creations Review & Giveaway CLOSED

Moja Creations creates eco-friendly reusable items for your everyday use!

The Snack-A-Long is an eco-friendly, reusable snack bag great for adults and children on the go! It is a great alternative to Ziploc bags which are thrown out after only one or two uses. It is perfect for snacks of all kinds: cereal, apple slices, carrots, grapes, crackers, berries, pretzels, etc. Best of all, the snack bags are lead, phthalates, & BPA free.

Moja Creations sent me the 'Bright Apples and Pears Snack Bag'. It is adorable!

The snack bag has a strong 6" velcro closure.

The lining is nylon, so to clean, simply turn inside out and wipe down or rinse with soapy water and let it dry. When extra dirty it can also be thrown into the washer and dryer!

The first time Brooklynn used the snack bag was when she went to the lake to go fishing with daddy. She took some Annie's Bunny Grahams in her snack bag. I told daddy that he had to take pics & this is all I got ;)

The elastic loop for is great for easy carrying and a convenient way to roll and close the baggie. These are also easily attached to toy straps that are attached to a carseat or stroller.

The Moja Creations snack bag has made a great addition to our diaper bag! It takes up much less space than a plastic container!

The only change that I might possibly like to be made to this baggie is for there to be a snap added to the strap so that I could attach it to the outside of the diaper bag.

BUY: Visit Moja Creations on Etsy or at their website for cloth napkins, lunch totes, produce bags, snack bags, sandwich bags & wraps, & more!

Moja Creations would like to offer our blog readers 15% off with code 'SAVE15'!

Happy Green Bee Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

With the frenzy of toy recalls last year, parents have started asking questions. Are any of their children's toys safe? What about their kid's bedding? Their clothes? Sure, lead-laden toys should obviously be out of a child's reach, but it's time to look more closely at all the things our children eat, touch, feel and wear in their everyday lives. Even 'conventional' cotton, once considered the natural fiber of choice, is no longer safe for our children. Organic cotton, on the other hand, is healthy for all our planet's creatures, from children and wildlife to farm and factory workers.

Happy Green Bee is a company producing organic cotton playwear for infants and children. Their children's clothing and accessories are made with nontoxic dyes and no chemical bleaches or finishers. In addition, Happy Green Bee products are made in fair-trade-certified factories that are monitored for worker health and safety.

Happy Green Bee sent me 'Radish' solid colored leggings for Weston. I just had to complete the outfit with the 'Butterscotch' Long Sleeve Tee & the 'Pumpkin/Butterscotch/Radish/Bean' Sock Hat. I ordered a size too big in hopes that the outfit will still fit him come fall/winter.

Beware of picture overload. I went a little crazy :D

The long sleeve 'tee' is more sweater-like, the hat is also knit & the pants are so super soft. Every time I see organic clothing the prices are pretty high. Happy Green Bee's prices are extremely affordable!

Brooklynn's Candyland Party

Here are the pictures from Brooklynn's Candyland Party! I always have so much fun planning her birthday parties! I am so proud of this one, we had a blast!

I made all of the signs, love my Cricut!

The Candyland pathway on our porch

I didn't make this sign, I won it from Pluff Mudd Designs on a blog giveaway.

My favorite candy table!

Sweet Metel Moment's Banner

Cupcake Common's - Cupcake decorating area

Chocolate Mountain

Lollypop Woods - I LOVE how this turned out!

Candy Castle - I had made candies to tie to Candy Castle, but it was the last part of decorating & I just didn't want to mess with it! LoL

THE CAKE! I absolutely love this cake. I spent many hours working on it & it is by far my best cake yet!

All of the kiddos (Except Claire) in the Lollypop Woods!

Can't have a party in the summer in Oklahoma without some water!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you...

Yummy, yummy...

...in my tummy! (Chocolate dipped ice cream cones!)

Gifts :)

The kiddos did a "cake walk" to the song 'I Want Candy.' The prize was a Candyland game, of course! Claire won!

Cloth Mama's little lady!

My kiddos & me in Lollypop Woods!

I originally got the Candyland Birthday Party idea from Parent's Magazine. Inspiration from The Dukes Family Blog & Party Love. The inside of the cake was inspired by Omnomicon, but I just used regular white cake mix.

Sweet Metel Moments Review

Sweet Metel Moments on Etsy creates adorable, colorful customizable printables! For Brooklynn's party Iris created an adorable banner.

Here are pictures of the steps I took to put it together:

All the sheets printed out...

I used my paper cutter to cut the individual letters out.

Next, I used my Paper Shapers rounder punch on the corners.

Then, a hole punch to punch 2 holes in each letter for the ribbons. I really just eyeballed these, no need to be exact. :)

I cut pieces of ribbon to tie each letter together. I cut the ends at an angle but did not seal them because I like the slighty frayed look for this.

All tied together!

And here is the finished banner displayed at Brooklynn's party! I used longer pieces of ribbon for the 'Candyland' part of the banner so that it would hang below the 'Brooklynn's'.

This banner was a great addition to Brooklynn's birthday party decor! (Be on the lookout for my next post featuring more pictures from the party!)

Sweet Metel Moments creates banners, invitations, party tags, & more adorable printables for your next party! You have got to check them out!
