Teething Bling Review

Don’t you just love how babies pull on your necklace while you are holding them or nursing them? It’s their favorite thing to do! Not only can they break your jewelry, but your baby could choke on the pieces. The only solution is to just stop wearing jewelry, right? Wrong! I have the safe jewelry solution for you and your baby!

Teething Bling® is the original teething jewelry. Their pieces are made from the same silicone as most teething toys and all of the products are non-toxic, phthalate, BPA, PVC, latex and lead free.

Smart Mom LLC launched in 2002 by two stay-at-home moms, Kendra & Amy. I love this; The company is staffed entirely by moms! And everything, from product development to fulfillment, is all handled in their Maryland offices.

Amy sent me a Teething Bling® pendant to review for you.

I chose the Turquoise Donut Shaped Pendant; It is after all, my favorite color! The 2x2 speckled Turquoise-colored donut shaped pendant hangs on a black, silky cord with breakaway clasp.

Here I am modeling it!

I love it! It doesn’t look like I’m wearing a baby teether around my neck, but I am! Weston is still a bit young to be entertained by the pendant but if I place it in his grip while he’s nursing it does keep him from tugging on my shirt; or worse, my hair!

I’m sure in another month or two he will LOVE playing with it & chewing on it!

The pendant is flexible & bendable, soft & rubbery feeling. It is great for those sensitive, teething gums!

Not only does Smart Mom Jewelry carry pendants in a wide range of colors (& some prints too!), they also have bangles, key chains, gift sets, and even Tween Bling! For the dads? Babe Magnet Ties, they look just like 'regular' ties but safely tucked inside each one is a surprise: a squeaker and a rattle to delight curious babies! I wish my hubby wore ties so I could get one of those!

Shout Out to Snuggle Luv!

Have you seen this awesome store? At the beginning of the year Snuggle Luv did an awesome promotion on their Facebook page & we received these leg warmers for FREE, yes FREE.

They are such an amazing company! Snuggle Luv was created in Provo Utah in 2008 by two stay-at-home-moms who are also identical twin sisters. They started designing and producing their own fashion line after seeing how expensive traditional baby boutiques were.

Weston is still quite small for Snuggle Luv's One-Size Leg Warmers but that doesn't stop me from putting them on him! They are just too adorable!

And here he is on St. Patrick's Day!

And Snuggle Luv doesn't just carry leg warmers! They also carry crocheted hats, headbands, sequined headbands and alot of other hair accessories! Their newest addition? Adorable ties for little boys! And that's not all, they have so much stuff! You have GOT to check them out!

HootHootBaby Review & Giveaway *Giveaway Closed*

Who doesn’t love an adorable, soft, fluffy cloth diaper? Well of course I do, and that’s what you get when you order a HootHootBaby fitted cloth diaper.

HootHootBaby Cloth Diapers and Training Pants are made from cotton knit or t-shirt/sweatshirt outers, organic heavy bamboo fleece hidden layers, and organic cotton or non-organic cotton velour on the inside against the baby’s skin. They are handmade by Libby at her home in Eudora, KS. It’s always great to support a work-at-home momma!

And a bonus, each and every one of HootHootBaby’s diapers also comes with a 4 tbsp sample of RubyMoon Natural Laundry Wash powdered cloth diaper detergent and a cloth wipe!

When I first put our HootHootBaby Newborn diaper on Weston he was just 2 days old & weighing in at 6lbs 6oz. The diaper came with 2 snap-in inserts & I also requested an extra “booster” insert, just in case we need it in the future.

The newborn diaper features a snap down for the umbilical cord.

The next time that I put the diaper on him he weighed 7lb 4oz. He wore it for 2 hours without a cover, the inside was fully wet & poo’ey but the outside of the diaper was not wet!

Libby offers her diapers with serged legs or turned under seams. I recommend getting the seams on the newborn diaper. As much as I loved the look of the serged legs and I did ask for them when I ordered, I’m just not a big fan. They seem to curl under when I put the diaper on him so I have to untuck them. Next time I order I will be sure to ask Libby for the turned under seams. :)

We also have a HootHootBaby One-Size Fitted Diaper! This diaper includes 2 snap-in inserts. Also, as I mentioned above, you can order extra “booster” inserts from HootHootBaby.

When I first tried it out on Weston he was 7lb 4oz. I used just one of the 2 snap-in inserts that the diaper came with so it wouldn’t be so bulky on my itty-bitty boy. He wore it for about an hour and a half before I noticed that the inside of the legs were a bit damp.

This diaper is adorable; however, it is just a bit bulky on my newborn & does not fit well under his extra small newborn sized diaper covers. But that’s okay, because it really is so absorbent that it does well without a cover!

When I tried the One-Size diaper out on my 26lb daughter it fit her wonderfully! She wore it for a couple of hours with both snap-in inserts and without a cover, even filled it with messy toddler poo. It didn’t leak! Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of the diaper on her.

Want to see more? Visit the HootHootBaby website where you will find Training Pants along with both the Newborn Diapers & the One-Size Diapers.

Cupcake Mama

Everyone please welcome me, Amy aka Cupcake Mama, the newest contributor to Modern-N-Crunchy!

I am a young stay-at-home mama with two little ones; Brooklynn, 2, & our newest addition, Weston, born in January. My life revolves around my family & doing what is best for us. We are doing our best to reduce the amount of chemicals around us & doing better for the environment. Brooklynn started out is disposable diapers but has been in cloth for the majority of the past year & Weston has been in cloth pretty much since birth.

I was brought in to Modern-N-Crunchy to work on reviewing products especially for boys & babies in general. Stay posted, my very first review will be posted shortly.. Here’s a hint: It’s something fluffy! ;)
